Hello there, and welcome to Devious-Jewellery!
This group is dedicated to jewellery and artisan crafts made by deviantART members!
Artisan crafts sometimes get little recognition for their hard work and time, and a lot of people make a living out of their crafts, so this is a group to help these artists get more exposure with their art.

:star:Can I join?
Yes!
Anyone is welcome to become a member! Members will be approved by the group founders and administrators.
:bulletred: How do I join? Just click on the 'Join this group' on the main profile page. All you need to do then is wait for your request to be approved!

:star:Can I contribute to the gallery?
Yes!
All members are allowed to contribute to the group gallery with their own jewellery and assorted crafts. All deviations will be approved so long as they fit the gallery criteria!
:bulletred: How can I contribute? If your join request has been approved, you're free to contribute art! Just head to the Devious-Jewellery gallery page, you will see a button at the top saying 'Submit to this Gallery'. Each gallery can be submitted to individually, so by clicking on each, you will see the button changes to 'Submit to this Folder'. When you press these buttons, you can either submit a deviation straight to the group, or you can choose an older one from your gallery.
The 'featured' folder is closed to direct submissions, and will be added to from the other folders. Just submit your deviation to the folder that is most appropriate. If any are found to be in the wrong place, they can just be moved to a more appropriate place later, so will not be rejected if they are submitted to the incorrect folder.
Then just wait for your submission to be approved!

:star:Can I submit favourites?
Yes!
If you've found some fantastic jewellery or crafts on deviantART, please feel free to submit as a favourite! Deviations will be approved provided they fit the criteria of the group!
:bulletred: How can I submit favourites? This works in a similar way to the gallery submission process. Just head to the Devious-Jewellery favourites and click 'Suggest a Fave' on the main favourites page or within the individual folders. The 'featured' section is closed to submissions as the best items will be featured there and chosen from the other folders. Please choose the most appropriate folder to add favourites into. If any are found to be in the incorrect folder, they will just be moved to a more appropriate one!

:star:What can we submit to the group gallery and favourites?
This is a group concentrating on jewellery, so all types of jewellery are welcome so long as they have been made by the submitting deviant- this means jewellery that has been created and submitted by you- rather than jewellery bought in shops.
Tutorials are also accepted here. If you've created a tutorial to help others create jewellery and crafts, then please submit them and help people further their skills!
:bulletred: What is accepted:
- Jewellery including necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches
- Tutorials for making jewellery, beads and charms
- Beads and charms
- Chains, findings and cords
- Other artisan crafts tutorials
- Other assorted artisan crafts (this is not the main focus of the group, so please submit these in moderation)
- Jewellery action shots (this is not the main focus of the group, so please submit these in moderation)

:bulletred: What is not accepted:
- Photography (other than photos of the above items)
- Literature (unless it is in tutorial form)
- Photomanipulation and digital art
- Paintings/drawings
- 3d renders of jewellery (the focus of this group is for real jewellery and physical crafts)
- Flash videos and films (unless it is in tutorial form)
- Anime, fanasrt, anthro, cartoons and comics
- Wallpapers and emoticons

:star:Is there a limit to how many gallery submissions I can add?
Currently, there is a limit to 2 deviations per deviant per week. This is subject to change, depending on the number of members this group gets. Updates on this limit will be submitted at a later date. The Wedding crafts folder has been recently opened, and it currently allows an additional 2 submissions per week.
At the moment, the gallery folders need to be filled up!
If your submission expires, feel free to re-submit.

:star:Why is the group spelled Devious-Jewellery and not Devious-Jewelry?
As I am from the UK and am a Brit, I used the UK English spelling "Jewellery", and not the US spelling "Jewelry". No need to tell me I spelled it incorrectly, when it is in fact the correct spelling for me!

:star:Why has my jewellery submission been moved between gallery folders?
Items are occasionally moved between gallery folders. This is to keep the deviations organised so that people browsing the submissions will be able to find things in the correct folders.
One deviation per member is permitted into the 'featured' category in the interest of fairness. These will be chosen for each member and switched around so that other deviations you have submitted will be given exposure there. The 'featured' folder cannot be submitted to directly, so please submit your deviations to the most appropriate folder (for example, a mobile phone charm can be added into the 'beads and charms' folder, while a necklace can be added to the 'Jewellery' folder).

:star:Can I join as a member even if I don't make jewellery?
Yes!
You're more than welcome in the group if you do not make jewellery yourself. If you think you want to be a part of the group to contribute favourites, please feel free. Just please note that other styles of art will not be added to the group gallery or favourites. Check out the groups directory for other groups suited to your art!

:star:Can I join if I do other styles of art too?
Yes!
If you're an artist that dabbles in other styles of art such as photography or painting, you're still welcome in the group! You don't have to do just jewellery and crafts. Just please note that other styles of art will not be added to the group gallery or favourites. Check out the groups directory for other groups suited to your art!

:star:Why do my submissions get approved at different times?
If you've sent in a lot of submissions at the same time, they will be approved at different times. This is in an attempt to not flood watchers and other members with deviations. Small numbers of your deviations will be submitted at a time, which will also mean there is more chance of watchers looking at them, rather than deleting a flood of 20 or more messages at a time.
If your submission reaches a week old and is automatically withdrawn, feel free to re-submit it.

I have a question! :)

With the '2 deviations per deviant per week' rule, what happens when you've had submissions waiting for approval for over a week (which I currently have.) Am I permitted to submit two more, or do I have to wait for a week after my submissions are accepted, and roughly how long will that be?

Thanks!
